QURBAN 2025
Qurban (or Udhiya) is the ritual sacrifice of livestock such as goats, sheep, cows, or camels during Eid al-Adha and the Days of Tashreek (11th–13th of Dhul Hijjah), symbolizing obedience, gratitude, and devotion to Allah SWT.
It is a highly recommended Sunnah (Sunnah Muakkadah) for those who are financially able. One goat or sheep is for one person, while one cow or camel can be shared by up to seven people.
The meat is distributed to the poor, relatives, and friends, and the person offering the Qurban may also partake in the meat.
And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]
- Surah Al-Hajj: 34
